Or, if it has become saturated with unburnt diesel fuel, it can become may result in continuous smoking even after the steamer is turned off. The Fire Brick sits beneath the Boiler Vessel of Diesel Optimas and acts as an insulator, protecting the chassis from the extreme heat.
